It all started when I worked with Stan and Jan Berenstain making episodes of Berenstain Bears back in late 2003 or early 2004. When I quit working with Stan and Jan, I look at the tape on the ground and it says "Berenstain Bears, lost episode". So, I took the tape home.
I put it on my old VHS. When it started to play, the animation looked very rough, like it wasn't finished yet. The audio was also pitched down two octaves and was very distorted. So after the intro, of course, the episode name was shown.
The name of the episode was "Dead Brother and Sister". As you would expect, I was very shocked. But I thought at first that this was maybe just a morbid joke, seeing how this episode looked somewhat unfinished. So I finally got to see the episode.
The episode started off with Mama and Papa Bear were looking at a newpaper. The animation looks a little bit better here, more like the show's normal quality, although the audio was still very distorted.
The newspaper says "NEW BEAR COUNTRY AIRPORT TRIP".
Papa Bear said "BROTHER, SISTER! WE ARE GOING ON A PLANE TRIP!".
When Brother and Sister Bear came here to go on a plane trip, they are upset.
When The Bear Family goes in the plane, Brother and Sister runs to escape.
Mama yelled "BROTHER AND SISTER. YOU CAME RIGHT BACK NOW!!!".
Brother said "SO LONG, MOM AND DAD!", the cubs began to fall and started to scream and dies.
Mama and Papa started to cry in the table. The crying went on and on, it got more pained, and sounded more realistic, better acting than you would think possible.
The animation started to decay even more as they cried, and you could hear murmuring in the background. The characters could barely be made out, they were stretching and blurring, they looked like deformed shadows with random bright colors thrown on them.
Mama and Papa decided to visit Brother's and Sister's graves. As Mama said "Oh, We miss Brother and Sister. as they died." Brother's and Sister's bodies was just lying in front of their tombstone.
The family started crying again. Eventually they stopped, and just stared at Brother's and Sister's bodies.
The final image was Mama and Papa Bear were looking at a newpaper, like at the beginning.
Then the lost episode ends, with a black screen and text saying: "Brother and Sister died. The series is over. Goodbye." Then the credits roll, for some reason only listing: Writer: tan and Jan Berenstain.
Then it cut to a normal episode of Berenstain Bears before the VCR exploded in sparks.
Oddly enough, however, while the VCR was totally destroyed, the tape remained intact. I could show it to you, but I've locked it in a impenetrable safe.
